Founded in 1755 along the banks of the Rio Grande, Laredo has developed a character unlike any other Texas city. Its story has been shaped by Spanish and Mexican heritage, international commerce, family traditions, and a deep sense of community. The Laredo Convention & Visitors Bureau shares that story while continually finding new reasons for travelers to visit, from historic landmarks and beloved annual celebrations to contemporary dining, entertainment, meetings, sports, and cultural experiences.
