Casa Rama (Cameron Country)

Casa Rama (Cameron Country)

Casa Rama is a elegant bed & breakfast restored Mediterranean-style mansion built in 1931 in Harlingen’s “Silk Stocking Row”.  Well known guests that have previously stayed at Casa Rama include Eleanor Roosevelt and Texas Governor W. Lee O’Daniels.

Throughout the beautiful historic house are hand painted Mexican tiles tell the story of days gone by, such as the one shown above.

The distinguished architectural features include a 550-pound, hand carved front door. The panels of this mesquite door portray four historical scenes describing the evolution of the Rio Grande Valley.

Casa Rama has an impressive collection of rare treasures from around the world.  It is also available for tours, photo shoots, meetings and weddings.
Casa Rama is located at:
1102 E. Taylor Street, Harlingen TX 78550
